Commodity Watch: Aluminium Futures Rise On Fresh Bets
New Delhi: Aluminium prices on Wednesday rose Rs 1.05 to Rs 242.90 per kilogram in the futures market, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in December increased Rs 1.05 or 0.43 per cent to Rs 242.90 per kg in 3,416 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
Copper futures gain on spot demand
Copper futures on Wednesday rose 0.66 per cent to Rs 809.20 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for December delivery climbed Rs 5.30 or 0.66 per cent to Rs 809.20 per kg in a business turnover of 8,317 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
